Teachers are committed to every student - but growing classroom complexity means class size alone isn’t enough. We need more support staff, specialist resources and safer schools so teachers can focus on teaching.

Our members are campaigning for real solutions. ✊📚

Housing affordability for essential workers is a massive problem across the country. Our teachers, support staff and ECEC members are being priced out of their local towns and communities - this huge problem needs an ambitious policy response.
Our tax rules let professional landlords off the hook while first-time buyers fight with increasing rents and house prices. Tax rules need to change.

IEU members have had to fight for their lawful super payments from many unscrupulous education employers - these new laws guaranteeing pay day super will make a huge difference and protect the retirement incomes of hard working school staff.
Super is workers retirement savings, not employers money. This is why we are calling on parliament to pass pay day super reforms. Pay day super will make it easier to spot when money is missing and workers will get more benefits from compound interest.
