The Team are professional monster hunters by trade.
While most of their income comes from commissions, they routinely supplement their income by harvesting valuable materials from their kills. Some of this is used by Tish or Anita for projects, but the rest is traded away.

Tish and Anita are both keenly aware that Eleanor is haunted by her inability to have children, so they have put off their plans to conceive until they were sure she was okay with their decision. They were also hesitant to ask Gabriel for "help" with the process, for fear of hurting her.

Gabriel still blames himself for it, as he let her take a position in the formation he normally would have been in. Also, he made the body armor she was wearing, Though it prevented her from being permanently paralyzed or killed, it led to her infertility.

Gabriel was declared Emotionally Disturbed, Learning Disabled at his mundane school because of the way his gifts were starting to manifest and the fact that he could see magical creatures his classmates could not. While he does have ADHD, the academy was able to help him learn to cope with it.

Among artificers and alchemists, there are unspoken rules as to the giving of advice. Much of the time, it is frowned upon, but engaging in a technical conversation with a colleague is openly soliciting advice. Both Tish and Anita try to abide by these rules.

Tish collects coffee mugs, and the more inappropriate, the better. Her kitchen has an entire shelf of mugs that Anita refuses to let her display when they have company over. Her favorite mug is relatively tame, a mug of Shakespearean euphemisms for sex and genitalia.

Anita will impulse buy snacks and souvenir key chains. Some she keeps as mementos, but the vast majority end up in one of her works of artifice.
