The larger issue is not related to ignorance. The majority are voting on an emotional level fueled by greed and/or fear.

As the economy, jobs and earnings more rapidly shrink, those in need will be offered new bogeymen to hate and fear.

The cycle will continue until that paradigm is broken.

A major audit of this entire regime is in order. Once completed, the issues of malfeasance and misfeasance can be sorted and pursued own to the levels of personal culpability.
