I get really excited when I find new and cool bootstrapped tools. But somehow I also know that most of them won’t exist in year or so.

“Message your friends about the stuff they liked”

Whoever is building Instagram certainly has issues.

So apparently Vine is back, but on Nostr, and backed by Dorsey.

Scammer asked what my personality was. I replied “passive agressive” and asked if she could shoot bazookas. The conversation ended there.

But on a side note, Bluesky seems to have been flooded with scammers.

OpenAI doesn’t use Sora for their own commercials, and Anthropic is hiring editorial writers with a compensation up to $350,000. Good for everyone else, but not for themselves. 🙃

Every time I check Snøhetta’s website, I remember teenage me wanted to be an Architect, then went for Design. I love design, but good architecture kicks ass.

In the picture, a project by Snøhetta for the Heyligenstaedt area of Gießen.

For most people, the most important layer of interaction with the internet will now be a tool that pretends to be right all the time, when it doesn’t even understand the difference between right and wrong 😮‍💨

Nice (new) commercial from Apple, voiced by the late Jane Goodall. Feels like a nod back to Apple’s roots of serving creative people. Also loved spotting a frame from one of my favorite films last year, Flow. Had no idea it was made on a Mac.

I really like Landor’s work, and I appreciate when designers showcase the attention to detail that goes into designing a logo.

But I honestly don’t get this animation from the case study.

People used to complain about the Metaverse crap. Looking back, I’d have preferred if companies were still obsessed with it, instead of GenAI 😮‍💨

The whole retirement age topic stresses me out. I can’t imagine myself working at 70y old.

With LLMs, it feels like everyone wants to do more. Even stuff they know nothing about. I’d prefer if everyone chilled and did a bit less. The world already has enough mediocrity.

I agree that most of these AI devices are stupid and look cheap. But what did people really expect for the price? Friend costs $129. That’s priced like a toy.
