The rep said “it’s all compliant with HIPAA guidelines and privacy laws.”

I assured him, given I was never told they’d use my data like this and I never would’ve consented to it, that I will 100% be a plaintiff in the 1st inevitable class-action suit coming from this.

Thus, our conversation ended.

It felt extremely violating. I’d been talking w that therapist for years. We knew each other (she knew me better, obvs); I trusted her.

With one “help your therapist take notes so they don’t have to write so much” consent they felt comfortable feeding 100% of my sessions to techbros to fiddle with.

First I argued w SonderMind & told them I did NOT consent to that.

Their rep replied “it appears on mm/dd date you consented to your therapist using the AI Notes app.” Therefore they fed all my therapy sessions (far more than just notes) into an AI-agent app without me knowing.

I am still PISSED.

I was on SonderMind w/ a therapist who asked me if she could use it for notes.

A month later I get ads from SM about their AI app that’s been listening to all our convos and can give me personalized feedback / goal-setting, and “doesn’t sleep!”

My therapist had no idea they’d do that.

I quit SM.

You’re in luck; he wrote a whole paper about it!

Whoa.

I’m wondering if this might help diabetics too, who also sometimes suffer from blindness by retinal blood-vessel growth (if sugars aren’t well-controlled for long enough).

Besides the other nonsense—and there is much—the last chapters of RotK feature the hobbits rising up to oust an army of orcs that enslaved the Shire, led by Saruman who’d escaped after Isengard fell.

Course, you don’t reach that part if you only saw the movies.

“Didn’t do the reading” indeed.

There’ve been 5 mass extinctions in Earth’s history that wiped out a majority of species living on the planet. Most were from sudden climate change. None of those happened anywhere close to as fast as we’re doing it right now.

Give it 50 million yrs, planet will be fine. We’re hosing ourselves tho.
