I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

Absolutely tone deaf press. And somebody needs to do a welfare check on that dog.
The Times is owned by the scumbag Rupert Murdoch and puts out PR for Epstein Island Peter Mandelson.

NEVER buy this shit.

Well that’s my mind made up. Was on the fence*, but based on Mark Kermode’s excellent and unflinching review here I’m not buying a ticket to go and see Melania.

*I wasn’t on the fence. I wasn’t even in the same field as the fence.

Pigeons jostle and gather on a food laden bird table in the golden winter morning light. Something quite quasi-religious going on down over breakfast in a few of these shots.

Wandered around one loop of the river where around 75 Swans are gathered, and almost strafed by precision bombing bird just after take off. Saw plenty of new beaver activity too, but no beavers.

Nice to see this hilltop folly appear (eventually) on UK #Traitors last night. Raked the archives for when we were up that way. In absolutely typical #Scottish mid-summer tradition (July 12th), it rained and rained then rained some more. And once we got to the top, the views were... non-existent.

The Blue Whale. The local pond now has a sheet of ice covering most of it, but the resident wildlife have got together to keep this small section clear, taking turns to circle and keep it ice free. Nature does it best.

Didn't fancy the cold last night when the first super-moon of 2026 rose, was too cozy and full of saag paneer and poppadoms.

So, out this morning in -5˚C cold to catch the moonset instead and chased the waning Wolf Super-Moon over the summit of Dumyat in the Ochil Hills.

A very energetic start to the New Year at the Comrie Flambeaux festival. Definitely a unique and fiery way to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of the next one!

An interesting drive home this morning after all the New Year celbrations. Untreated road still covered in ice and snow for a slow sunrise journey through a cold but bright Scottish valley.

Forgetting what the sunshine looks like this month so looked out my sunglasses to revisit this year's catalogue before archiving it all for 2025.

Antidote to the Scottish December dreich.☀️

Watching a sliver of a sunset down by the water. Camera wasn't ready to catch the seal that came by and snorted its indifference at me, but appreciated a few moments of #Twixmas calm down at the old harbour.

I’m going with the notion this is intentionally bad as a sly comment on how sloppy and lazy the use of AI is making us, stealing other’s ideas and not even doing that well. Yea. Must be that. Can’t otherwise be this badly executed.
I guess it's fitting that it's a reimagined, worse version of someone else's artwork

Nice. Gorgeous geometric grey slabs, perfect for a grey Friday morning's coffee break.

Monday morning, and December kicks off misty, moody and minimal around this way, taking a long time to unwrap itself from its comfortable duvet.

It's taken over 50 years for this story to fully unfold, and this movie still leaves questions. Only one person can still truly answer these and unfortunately they decided not to participate. An absolutely fascinating and jaw-dropping story for everyone who has seen this famous photo.

Contrasts; The pastoral and peaceful area around the outskirts of our local town at sunset, interrupted by the construction noise for the nearby leisure complex build. But that's all good.

October. Done ✅

It's been a month of moody sunrises and creeping darkness. Think I even saw the first dusting of snow on the nearby mountains this week too.

"I can stand in these fields for two or three hours and not get a picture. That doesn’t mean to say I’m disappointed, I’ve had the privilege of standing there. There’s nothing greater"

I know many photographers and creatives that reach this point.

A very affecting article.

This fishing boat is always a draw for a camera due it to sitting anchored here in isolation and looking to the sunset. Looks even more lonely with this effect added.

Very much the same vibe as sailing the social media waters just now. 🫤
