For music streaming there is no dynamics processing, thankfully - just normalisation.

I think that’s misguided, (although I do think short-term loudness can be a useful metric) but there are lots of people saying “master to -8” or
-14 etc and I was curious to hear what people here think

Having said that, the process of achieving a higher LUFS sometimes influences the sound in a way that lower levels don’t.
