Ah yes! Trichodina… forgot about that one, thanks!! We recovered trichodina from urchins in Australia as well. I wonder if they’re actually degrading coral tissues to get at zooxs or whether they’re simply consuming those released…

Should work well!

It was kind of like a roomba but tumbling

So @bradweilerdives.bsky.social @ambonacolta.bsky.social do you know what this is? Aspidisca? Seems like it’s eating zooxanthellae. From the surface of SSID

Yes indeed! Cute. Not pub quality but fine to check for a product.

So the gel is tiny and can take like 12 samples at most. Bootlegged it with another comb and did 24 on the same gel. The platinum wires are also wonky, and my ladders ran weirdly, but overall it’s pretty awesome

Works pretty well so far! Will see how the gel module works in the morning.

Had a little spare time to interact with some ophiuroids too. These are the understudied yet ubiquitous and cryptic denizens of the coral reefs.

Plus it would have to be able to accept text messages as well

There’s a thought. Do they provide a local number?
November 18, 2025 at 1:16 AM
Yeah a bit more complicated as they won’t send anything overseas. Apparently a $1 stamp is too much for them and their system won’t handle the “international number”. Grrr

As for the scientific supplies, I don’t mind paying I just have to be able to pay!
