off topic: hate menu buttons for toggeable actions that change their name between the two states. i can never tell if the label says what it currently is or what it will change into if you press it

i figured out, i had my machine set to private. quite a silly thing in retrospective but i'm glad i solved it lol. make sure your machine has the gray dot in the corner in the my machine menu, that means it's public!
