Fall always has 1 older male that "protects the nectar" from every other living Anna's hummingbird for a few weeks. They show off weird skills - scratching a shoulder with a foot, stretching their neck up and scratching a shoulder with the tip of their beak, sharpening their beak on a branch.

female Anna's are friendly & trusting. They know my smell by now and if I don't bug eye stare or raise my arms at them we can be a foot or so close. they have come up to my face to check me out, to hover wing and breath on me. They shit, pee & cum forcefully from one place rather indiscriminately.
