I agree, it varies by field.

Privacy has a decent feed, but tech has been irreversibly scattered by the Twitter/X/Musk fallout. Some people stayed, others went to Mastodon, others ended up here.

There’s no real way around it. Maybe Tapestry from @iconfactory.com helps, but it doesn’t plug into X.

I like the idea of custom feeds here.

For example, that Nvidia Earnings feed from Yahoo Finance was interesting to follow. And I didn't need to follow anyone in that feed to get the information. 😅

I’m not talking Google as a whole, only the video part.

Nebula.tv seems like a niche thing, and it’s nowhere close to challenge YouTube, like Kagi challenges Google in search.

I’m using Kagi myself and love it :)

I’m paying for YT Premium because I can’t imagine using it with ads.

Even as a paid customer I can’t get rid of YT Shorts, which are constantly suggested everywhere now :\
