I sat on a jury where it was very obvious the police didn't know out of two people present at the time of the murder which one had done it, so they decided to prosecute one and recruit the other as a witness if they let him off. No one on the jury other than me thought this was a bit iffy.

fill in with their own ideas and the whole things gets so messy the audience doesn't really understand what it's supposed to be watching. Also doesn't understand the idea of a series arc/election cycle and how to manage it.
