i used to feel really self-conscious about my tummy and i still kinda do but... im really starting to come to love it? bad dysphoria days still happen but for the most part i actually feel pretty good about myself.

oh those look so good! i cannot for the life of me remember the exact model of inlines ive got but i made my quads myself out of an old pair of vans! i love them so much despite the fact theyre all beat to hell

Another attempt at shading. It was... frustrating. Didn't help that the chronic pain was flaring up. I had to stop early. Even still I like seeing the progress I've made.

I am slowly figuring out how to show shape through shading. I don't have the stroke control down yet to always get the shading to move alone the line of the shape but I'm getting there.

Working with pen has helped me not get super hung up on erasing all the time. This sketch only took 15 minutes which would have been unthinkable only a couple months ago.

Wrist and joint pain has receded enough to do some art again. I've been using my own hands as references which has been a fun little thing. I like getting to control the pose.

This is the other half of my chronic pain concept. Joining the two will be an... exercise... but one I'm already looking forward to. Another day though as my wrists are starting to twinge a bit.

My chronic pain has finally receded enough that I can start drawing again. I've got an idea for a way to illustrate what it feels like inspired by @phobia.bsky.social but I want to give it a few attempts first before I feel ready to share it.
