(2/2) Density is most likely what you're willing to tweak if you want good, gradual color blending or if you want to scribble to build up color in a particular area. I personally don't use opacity as much if I need to blend colors. You are probably going to want density.

Opacity is the total MAXIMUM amount of color that can be put down every time your pen touches the tablet. Density is similar to photoshop's flow, and affects the amount of color that is put down every time your pen goes over a section of your drawing. (1/2)

Best thing is to save the file, wing the markings and complete the commission, and send it to them through DMs. Keep the door open for them to change the markings whenever they come back. Unfortunately, chances are that if they're gone for months, something may have happened to them.
