Just beat Resident Evil Zero. Strange game that had a ton of potential with some great visuals for fans of the fixed camera era of the series. Second half was pretty uneventful story wise but difficult. I wanna love it more, but it was a bit tedious.

I also picked up a couple of the IDW Sonic omnibuses and the DC x Sonic crossover just so I can have them in person and support the artists.

Just beat Dead Rising 2. The setting and crafting mechanics were great ideas for a sequel, but Chuck feels worse to play as than Frank who had snappy movement and attacks. Last few hours got shoddy with the special infected, so I don't feel the instant desire to replay it.

I bought the first omnibus of the Tomb Raider comic and this thing is massive! I’m really down for some episodic adventures starring the classic Lara Croft with art like this.

Played through Dead Rising 2: Case Zero for the first time before going into 2 proper. Was happy to see it's still available and playable on the newest Xbox platforms. Setting is a cool switch up and the whole thing is a nice bite-sized tutorial version of the game.

Just beat the original Dead Rising. Really unique concept that encourages replays. I did think it was kinda weird the extended ending kinda ended in the same place anyway. Pretty cool Capcom made a second zombie series and found a way to make it so different.

Just watched the 1983 version of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time since I've been meaning to watch more Obayashi films (only seen House and School in the Crosshairs so far). It was a cool little mystery but it was more interesting just appreciating the environments of their town.

Rouge in Issue #59 of IDW Sonic is legitimately a gift to mankind.

I recently beat Sonic Shuffle for the first time since I was a kid. I always thought it was underrated but it unfortunately didn't live up to my memories. I still like the Nights into Dreams style art design and storyline, but the gameplay itself was very slow and tedious.

Just finished the fourth omnibus of IDW Sonic. Some smaller storylines which were somewhat appreciated after the last giant one. Really liked the snowy vibe of one of them. Belle is a cool new character and I hope her storyline has good payoff going forward.

Finished the third volume of the IDW Sonic comic! The Metal Virus arc was well done and managed to make me care about a bunch of characters I didn’t before. The art was also really good for a majority of it!

Finished reading the second volume of the IDW Sonic comic. This included the first part of the Metal Virus arc which I’m more invested in than the previous stories. It also had the 4-part Tangle & Whisper mini-series, which was some of the best stuff so far.

Damn, who is she?

I beat Mouthwashing last night. Really cool ending and a bunch of creepy moments. I think it juggled tonal shifts pretty well.

Now I’d like to make a post showing appreciation to @inkuusan.bsky.social and the art he’s done for my videos! Here are a few key examples but we have plenty more great things coming.

Today I wanted to make a post showing appreciation to @chzzei.bsky.social and the thumbnail art they’ve done for my channel so far! Here are a few of my favorites.

I beat the first Mega Man X! So many sick elements related to boss orders and how they change other levels as well as hidden secret in general. The jump in fidelity and emphasis on a darker aesthetic and storyline makes it feel like the full package.

Just beat Mega Man 6 and it's really cool to think I can finally say I beat the NES Mega Man games. This one was very forgiving with health items, so it was pretty easy compared to the others, but I do think the jet and power suits are pretty awesome concepts. Onto the X series!

Over the last few days, I beat Mega Man 4 and 5! I think I liked 4 more than 3. Really solid level aesthetics and gimmicks. 5 didn't leave too much of an impression on me, though I didn't think it was bad and it still had some cool moments.

I decided to commission a sequel to my Gundam ZZ video thumbnail of Haman Karn from @atro.bsky.social because it was just too awesome!

Just beat Mega Man 3! I liked a lot of the levels, but that section in the middle with repeated bosses was a bit of a pain. Then, it got really easy at the end, so pacing was somewhat inconsistent. Still, cool to see the story start to expand.

Along with a bunch of other Sonic games, I just beat Sonic 4 Episode 1 & 2. What a whole bunch of uncanny nothingness. 2 was better visually, but the bosses sucked more. Crazy how anyone even defended this as being a worthy follow-up back then.

Finally watched the Golgo 13 film. Nearly every shot of this had something creative and visually interesting going on in it. Great climax and twist. Cool to see Golgo not completely invincible in this.

Just beat Mega Man 2! Definitely a lot better than the first one when it comes to level designs and boss patterns. Some of the final stages had some tough platforming challenges but none of the bosses were crazy hard, especially with their weaknesses! Solid sequel.
