I am instructing him to speak like a local.. So it's really chatty and roundabout getting to the point. Comparing this to my granfather and Chiac speakers on youtube. This seems like a very accurate style, and charm might make up for other inadequacies. :)

He interjects (english translation) as he goes along. Not perfect, but fairly decent for early on...
Quant à eux-autres, ils peuvent parler Anglais si ça leur plaît, mais pour nous, c'est Chiac tout court! (As for them, they can speak English if they want to, but for us, it's straight-up Chiac!)

Samsara spoke of language in Wales, and we were on the subject of Chiac....
