Super cool! My apologies for my very long rambling comment on simulators! Interesting concept but definitely not how it seems to me but I'm highly biased as a sensory researcher lol.

I'd bet a lot of money it's a very linguistically influenced topic, I think our internal schemas are often dictated by the types of information (e.g.. spatiotemporal, linguistic) and as these are things we learn in differing ways, might explain all the variance there is.

Can't imagine my lack of internal visualisation is at least some experiential insight :P

I don't need to know a specific counterfactual to have doubts about a proper source. I can be critical of methods and arguments.

With genAI? If you don't know the counterfactual, you don't know it's wrong, you have to go look at sources anyway, so then I still have to go do that and save no time.

I mean, at best it spits out the consensus of what the next word will be given a consensus decoding of the prompt.

The major problem compared to other sources is that I can see their methods, their reasoning, the entire basis for the conclusions drawn and information presented.

Oh my heart. That's the one I love. Rode a similar one when leaving new York, but it was awful and I'd rather drive, just too many people, like some big orange crush. Not my favourite type of people either, not shiny happy people.

Oh it has WiFi, What's the frequency?

This comes up tagged as deep puce background.... That's the same colour as the sea right?

OH GODDAMNIT!

It's wine-dark... why didn't I say it is the wine-dark sea....
