based on their slide timeline, construction was set to start this year for ~18 months, using 3 flavors of money. I think they got Measure W but not reconnecting communities... so the project just continues to get more expensive each year

I gotta be honest I have been historically skeptical of the idea of digital twins but recently I learned that Japan's MLIT built an entire 3D model of every building and road in the country with semantic and underlying use information, so uh... maybe less skeptical
