In June of 2025, the US Supreme Court released a 6–3 decision in the case Mahmoud v. Taylor. The Secular Humanists of Western Lake Erie has created a form parents can use to opt-out their children from curriculum that violates your religious beliefs.

And that's a wrap on our 2025 Sponsor-A-Family drive. Thanks to all the donors and volunteers who came together to make this event our most successful. Several hundred dollars worth of gifts and gift cards were donated to a family in need.

We had a great night Tuesday hosting a screening of The Last Class from @inequalitymedia.bsky.social In the end we sold out with 161 engaged people enjoying a film about @rbreich.bsky.social last semester teaching about wealth and inequality. Lots of good stuff in the film
