This crime is horrific on so many levels. I think the problem is that most Star Wars ships have texture to the exterior (ports, pipes, add-ons etc) that works well with Lego bricks. With something as sleek as the hull of the Enterprise Lego bricks just don't look right. A facetted hull and dish is no substitute for smooth curves.
