RSF continued to raze Zamzam IDP Camp. 0.3+sq km (>4 FIFA pitches) of the IDP camp were destroyed in likely arson attacks between 16 April -10 May 2025. RSF technical vehicles visibly control access into and out of the IDP camp in satellite imagery from 7 May 2025.

Since attacking and capturing Zamzam IDP Camp, RSF has reportedly prevented people from escaping Zamzam. There are credible reports that RSF has committed extrajudicial killings and sexual violence in the IDP camp.

RSF caused Zamzam IDP Camp into famine conditions for almost a year. Today, civilians of Zamzam not executed, wounded, or detained are forced to flee for their lives on foot. RSF created displacement in deadly conditions - many people reportedly dying from exposure + dehydration

Already weakened by famine, the most vulnerable are reportedly falling and dying as they attempt to flee.

They have been encircled by RSF and its aligned forces from multiple directions, and what they had systematically left set on fire 🔥
