I'm now completely happy with the effect, all the bugs, errors and jumpiness are gone! I'm 100% on this, no weirdness, no oddness, everything works from all the angles I'd ever want. All done in camera!

I've officially been staring at this too long. I have no idea if it's good or not anymore. 🙁 The blend from Cloaking to Not Cloaked is still too abrupt, more work needed. These shots were chosen to sort of showcase the "worst case" scenarios of the technique I'm using. 4K in 🧵!

Lots of updates - Timing adjustments, Sparks and flame improvements, I added more debris, and debris/shield interactions, as well as adding Romulan Disruptor fire and SOUNDS! I'm quite happy with how this ended up looking.

Latest Star Trek shot update - this one is super-low sample rate, I was having some issues with render times that I've since resolved. I'm much happier with the sparks, explosions, and debris. I'm currently adding shield impacts from the smaller debris bits, and weapon fire from the other Warbird.

Star Trek short shot Update: Tons of improvements on this one - added sparks, debris, flame, tuned the animation, and a bunch of other stuff. Making progress, my estimate is about 80% done with the visuals! (Low sample WIP)

Here's a Turntable of a Star Wars ship I've been doodling with in UE5.6 - the Spruce Shrake! (It's a now merc-owned ex-Royal Nubian Marines Dropship!)

I used 3dsmax 2026 for the model and Substance Painter / Photoshop for the textures. 4K in the 🧵

Been working on a #StarWars OG Trilogy-era Mercenary-owned surplus Royal Nubian Marine Dropship! Inspired by Din's N-1 and the PBY Catalina. I'm using UE5.6, nanite tessellation, lumen, and some cool-ass shaders for the materials. It's the Spruce Shrake!

The B-Wing Cockpit animation and model are done! I've been at this one for a while, and I'm relieved to have it finished, so I can move onto something else. Enjoy! Rendered in 3dsmax 2024 using VRay 7 GPU on a 4090 RTX. It took about 3-3.5m per frame.

Okay, the B-Wing cockpit is done! Wheeee! Got the control yoke in there, the S-foil lever in, and a bunch of small details added. I'm rendering out another animation of it being panned around. I can move onto something else!
