Husband, father, archivist, information manager, cricket umpire, sunny optimist. Not necessarily in that order...
It was a double A side so everybody had the excuse of buying it for “Girls’ School”, which was better.

In Strange Coincidences Corner I saw him getting off a Windsor train at Richmond station yesterday evening after work. He genuinely is that tall.

Some traditions are worth keeping. I remember Capital Radio having ads for Silk Degrees in ‘77 that used that corny “I’d have called it his greatest hits” line.

No, not at all!

Crikey. I did this with the Tiffin School choir, must be 51 years ago. Before my voice broke and I started singing like an asthmatic frog, obviously.

On numerous occasions. I think death by being fired by Dave Hill by email takes the biscuit, though.

Oh, there’s more laughs than a usual production of Othello. Makes an even greater contrast to the final tragedy.

Oh, enjoy, some great performances. He’ll more likely show you to your seat, he’s ushering between sound jobs…!

They all have a tall bloke in front of them?
November 12, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Wait! You bought a Mathilde Santing record on spec? That’s gutsy…

They’re playing in the Netherlands later this month. I mean it’s essentially a Gouldman ‘here’s another one I wrote’ show but play all the 10cc hits including the ones he didn’t write. Saw them a couple of years back and it was a great show.

Including using the heavy roller between innings.

Suicide get a mention in the Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere film. His engineer suggests he doesn’t listen to the album on repeat. DBD introduced to me by an NME cassette.

I would watch this just to hear Sweep declare himself a faithful every week, and none of the other puppets be any wiser as to what he said.

The one time, the ONLY time, I was properly ahead of the curve was when I bought the previous release of West End Girls that notably failed to trouble the chart compilers.

I mean, I went to see The Dancing Did in concert, but that was being ahead of a curve which was, in reality, not there.
