I'm so so excited for Housing I scoped out this perfect pair of plots (48 and 53) for me and husbird that are so close that you can share a path between the almost-touching corners 🥺 And they have the cutest little cul-de-sac just for the two!

Big rain expected tomorrow so we made a point to pick our apples today 👀
Last year this tree only had like twelve apples on it. Sure made up for it this year, despite the drought!

Okay I'm at 27 jars of our go-to salsa recipe, and still have this many tomatoes to go through (and more still ripening on the vine).
I think I might try out some other salsa recipes now lol. I'm all ears if anyone has their own go-to recipe (non-spicy or easily de-spiced)

Really wish Blizzard didn't decide that the upper half of the tone scale counted as "black" clothing. Considering this is their black/white chess-themed month I think this is as dark as it gets. The sleeves of that shirt, comparatively, are black. Yet they call this a "midnight" skirt -_-

Finally got my poor waiting potted plants in!!! (And did a little nursery trip for a couple shrubs). I still need to move a few perennials over that I already have, but that's probably it for buying live plants this year. And then seed sales in the fall/winter 👀

Been trying to quickly work on a somewhat-time-sensitive task as weather and physical condition allows: getting the rest of the prep done on this section of front garden we've been re-building. Timely part being that the truck is laden with dirt and we kinda really need to get groceries soon lol

I keep worrying that I'm so so behind but my planting schedule doesn't even have most things being seeded until late April/early May @.@
Transplanted some wet-paper-towel-tomato sprouts and seeded a few other things today~

So presently the only siberian irises I have are the regular dark blue/purple kind (they were here when we moved in), but last summer this pale lilac (presumably) mutation sprouted up in a new spot! I'm unironically considering taking up iris breeding as a (very slow) hobby hahaha.
