I certainly suspect a very soapy, melodramatic show about a traumatized teen becoming a pop star was not SUPER realistic in other ways... but yeah any American who's been through medical treatment for themselves or family will LOL (while crying).

Obviously there are a lot of "it'll do" choices you have to make shooting a TV show; they had obvious non-actors playing the US doctors, too. But the idea that someone in props was like, "what's a huge, scary number for an experimental healthcare bill?" and came up with $9,000... oof.

Sometimes I really hate the way Facebook, Instagram and Twitter forced us all to make connecting with others into work, into an algorithm, into a competition you could win or lose. I hate how that seeped into our souls at some point and seems so hard to leave behind.

Forgot to say that I DID go back right before the "everything half price" transition, and I got an Ant chair for my mismatched dining set goals for only slightly more than "found it on the curb," plus a very nice little Poul Cadovious side table also very cheap.

They were at the back of a shelf and I'm SURE no one knew they weren't just from Crate & Barrel! They're so tarnished they look black but that's an easy fix. The only thing is the candle cup is a weird depth/width! So might not be able to use them except decoratively.
