Trump announced China would buy 12 million tons of American soybeans by January. But China has only purchased 10% of that.

American farmers are losing billions of dollars while Republicans refuse to challenge the trade policies destroying farm country.

The hoops that Republicans want to make hungry families, seniors and veterans jump through just to secure a little help to cover the cost of a meal is absolutely egregious.

We agree! You have no ❤️

Only the heartless would celebrate taking away food from 42 million Americans.

Ranking Member Angie Craig, Hayes, Klobuchar, Luján, Schumer, Merkley lead Congressional Democrats in introducing legislation to reverse SNAP cuts and restore food security for millions of Americans.

Here's what's happening while Trump's soybean deal with China deal: Brazil is becoming China's permanent supplier, American farmers are losing money and Republicans won't let Congress vote on ending the trade war. Our farmers deserve better.
November 20, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Farmers have said it time and time again: they need trade not aid.

The fastest way to provide our farmers relief is to end Trump's trade war.

US to Announce Farm Relief Plan in Early December, Rollins Says
The Trump administration intends to release its long-awaited plan to offer relief for beleaguered farmers early next month, US Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said Wednesday.

I am astounded by Secretary Rollins' careless disregard for hungry Americans who rely on SNAP for a little help. Her words have consequences. She is creating unnecessary confusion for millions already struggling to afford their lives because of this administration.

China has bought less than 10% of the soybeans Trump promised farmers. The administration has a long way to go to deliver on its word.

It’s a pattern: big announcements, broken promises, and American farmers left with nothing.

No American should see their monthly premiums skyrocket from $500 to $2,000 a month. Seniors and rural Americans in Colorado could see just that if Republicans refuse to renew the ACA tax credits.
November 18, 2025 at 10:09 PM
The admin's SNAP cuts aren't abstract policy. They're real families asking: Do we eat this week or do we keep the car running so I can get to my job?
November 18, 2025 at 9:20 PM
Trump promised farmers 12 million tons of soybean sales to China by January, but only 10% of their commitment has been purchased.

It certainly seems like the Trump admin has a long way to go to fulfill their promise to our farmers.

China slow to honor U.S. soybean purchase commitments - Brownfield Ag News
The chief commodities economist at StoneX Group says there’s little evidence that China plans to follow through on its purchase commitments of U.S. soybeans. Arlan Suderman says he believes China has agreed to purchase a U.S. soybeans, but “China seems to be very slow to want to admit to that, or to live up to […]

Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” will take away food from 4 million people.

While Republicans celebrate their new law, millions of families will struggle to put food on the table.

This isn’t beautiful — it’s cruel.

Laura from Kansas is expecting her monthly premiums to increase by over $3,600 per year. We need to renew the ACA tax credits so that rural Americans don't have to choose between health care and putting food on the table.

Hungry kids don’t learn as well. Hungry parents can't work at full capacity. Food assistance is an investment in everyone's future.

Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins was told by two courts she must distribute SNAP in November. Yet she still refuses to take any accountability for the chaos and harm the Trump admin caused 42 million Americans.

Shameful.

Mom and pop grocery stores across the country are starting to feel the impacts of Trump's SNAP cuts. Some grocers could see sales drop anywhere between 40-90%.

No matter how much Republicans try and ignore it, the ACA tax credit expirations will make monthly premiums skyrocket for millions of rural Americans.

SNAP serves children, elderly people, people with disabilities, veterans and working families. When Republicans talk about "cutting benefits," they need to say who they're choosing to go hungry.

The Trump admin is appealing a second time to SCOTUS to cut SNAP benefits for 42 million Americans.

He's already demanded some states take away the food assistance sent to families.

Trump will appeal to the highest court in the land before he lets hungry people eat.

Enough is enough. The Trump administration is playing with people’s lives and their ability to put food on the table. This isn’t a game. The administration needs to drop their appeal and allow states to fully fund SNAP benefits in November.
November 8, 2025 at 3:30 AM
The administration should be ashamed. They are fighting to take away food from children, seniors and hardworking Americans. The court has ordered that the administration has both the power and the money to fully fund SNAP this month and has compelled them to do it.
