I do appreciate it and I definitely would ask help in the future but honestly I've enjoyed just kinda diving headfirst into this one and seeing what happens

ok that's not that hard actually, im glad i didn't stain it cause this is really nice. few more of those and we're lookin good
November 27, 2025 at 2:04 AM

less than the first one, which I just rewatched a few days ago and honestly even that one isn't that much of copaganda imo

well ive got everything together, pocket hole plugs in, holes drilled for the speaker, a notch carved out for power cables, and it all sanded down pretty good.

i have zero confidence in staining it and the wood is kinda nice already so i guess now its time to figure out how the hell to apply finish
November 26, 2025 at 12:51 AM
that would be pretty bold for a first project ever
November 25, 2025 at 1:54 AM
i think it was red oak

i was gonna stain it but the color is starting to grow on me so I might just put a finish on at the end

sort of, im building a frame for a spare TV so i can use it face up on the table to display dnd dungeon maps and stuff

ok so i decided to be ambitious and cut a notch in the bottom so theres extra room for the IR sensor that sticks out. unfortunately i dont have the right tool for this (not even sure what that would be), so i kinda just. freehanded it with a dremel. pretty scuffed but honestly it worked so whatever
