personally I love ko-fi for being more indie, so many of my fav creators use it and I like the platform! kofi doesn't have a mobile app and slightly less robust, but ultimately it's up to your preferences. I think having both platforms works well but more to manage

I think one thing is that ko-fi doesn't allow nsfw if that matters to you. it also has a different UI for looking through memberships. I think price difference:
kofi (5% platform fee, 3% + 30¢ processing)
patreon (8-10% platform fee, 2.9-3.9% processing depends on currency)
