Eeeaauggghhhyyy! Here for the bots and dreamers, grifters and believers.
I should add that the style of the film, the way the filmmakers approached it, was part of what it made it so good. It was long on showing—just putting you there to witness and experience their lives—and short on telling, beyond a few basic text overlays explaining what is meant by Rom / Romany.

affected by a documentary (don't remember the title but it would have predated approximately 1999) about the Rom. My future (and still) wife and I saw it at a weekend series of screenings hosted by the international studies club. There were sections on Romany people in various regions of the

Film 101 was the best class I took. "The City of Lost Children" is the most memorable, for opening my eyes to strange new worlds. I did not expect to laugh as much as I did when I had to watch a musty Buster Keaton film (don't recall which, but I think it was "The Cameraman"). But the quirkiest

Wow. Couldn't disagree more. Take a photograph if you want to see what one actually sees. Good art shows what the artist thinks they see. It makes us feel it. I live in Sedona and the flat colors are a wonderful match for the dry, saturated vibe of the town. I can hear the rocks on that trail.

How might this affect junior/community colleges, especially with regard to funding?

Not exactly the same but recently a small local restaurant chain was busted for human trafficking, paying immigrants well below the minimum wage. Naturally, all those slaves were compensated for their abuse by being handed over to ICE.

Are the villains laughing ironically or… ?

It's only a mistake if you're laughing. Or is it if you're not laughing?

Wait, what?

I mean, the ‘DEI Madness” resulted in no mid-air collisions in 16 years. It was only until Trump got re-elected, fired the FAA director, didn’t hire a new one, and froze the hiring of new air traffic controllers that we had another tragedy in the air within a week.
