I think it also just sets the expection for ppl to be way more intiment w others then they would be if that person was just a normal IRL friend. It could be becuse im also forming relationships with other metnally ill, socailly maladapted trannys however

I dont need that much access to ppl but also i feel like somethin abt the way discord is set up. esp the desktop version I find myself constantly checking it when im at my computer. it feels diffrent then normal messaging and ive developed several unheatlhy friendships/relationships w it.

For sure, most digital interaction is gonna def have some lvl of this. I think it has to do with the status updates and seeing what people are doing. what games they are playing ect ect. It think gamifys messaging in a way that makes it more addictive then other forms of messaging imo
