Entire batch of bottles for this new batch of spice have been sterilized and are set to dry. I have to be honest, its SO exciting to see how spiffy our spice is going to look in the new jars!♡ They're also bigger than the previous ones, so MORE tasty goodness per jar.

Hoooo boy.
Spent a bit of time today grinding most of the dried chilis & peppers for a fresh batch of DragonFyre Spice. My nose is tingling despite wearing a mask!
Almost done, & we got spiffy new jars that are laser engraved on the lids. Goal is jars will be available in the store on the 13th.

Sewing eleventybillion cut & dyed felt flower petal 'scales' down the back of this giant puppet. Then on to the snaps for the wing attachment.

Giving a certain derpy blue tiger Oni a try in my style. I am digging the shape & its comfy on the face. Will have to see how it looks once fully dry & painted. Maybe with some red/orange makeup around my own eyes. (Since the fun contacts crap out at just over 1/2 my perscription, boo :p )

Snuck out to a local Renn Faire today with the family. Had a lot of fun, saw some really amazing costumes, including a couple of fursuits! This one was absolutely adorable & let me snap a pic. Don't know who the suiter is but the design is so stinking cute!♡

Working on the layout of the cherry blossoms on the butterfly wings for Big Puppet Critter. Also doing some quilt batting between the hand joints for the false arm so that when skinned in spandex it reads as more of a smooth, real arm.

Working on the layout of the cherry blossoms on the butterfly wings for Big Puppet Critter. Also doing some quilt batting between the hand joints for the false arm so that when skinned in spandex it reads as more of a smooth, real arm.

3 attempts to get Vengeance to cooperate with this antler file & the tpu before admitting defeat. It took loading the filament into the new machine, The Cube, to get it done.
The antlers still need to be hit w a heat gun to smooth out, painted branch brown, & have the sakura flowers attached.

Layering on different shades of pink for the markings on this fox puppet. The lighter pink is dry & brushed out, moving on to the darker pink. Really exciting to see it start coming together!

Alright, tray of slip cast bird bud vases is drying & getting ready to fire, along with some odds & ends. Fingers crossed, praying to the new kiln gods, etc etc.
Also re-sculpted Alasdeer in his shadow tentacles base. This time I'm using underglazes, so we'll see how he turns out.

Not a long stream, but this little must chocolate chip dragon is nearly done but for his eyes. I think he'll be cute when finished.

The hardest part of slip casting a new mold for the first time?
Being patient & waiting until it's dry enough to unmold to see how the cast comes out!

Alright, while I'm waiting for the glue to dry on Fox puppet eyes, I thought I would try slip casting the little teacup mold I made.
This is intended to make base cups that I can sculpt/carve/customize to go with my second attempt at the Tea-Rex teapot. Fingers crossed this version works!
