I totally get the reasoning behind that choice and sometimes it serve the story! And sometimes the contrast makes the other setting that much more impactful. Either way great stuff!

I would say it’s not a preference but writing it is more rewarding in that it’s the culmination of these characters’ feelings and they’re finally connecting in that physical way - it’s not the first scenes I write in a manuscript!

I love it - the energy of a dance/ball can spark connections! The can feel true to life for those who went to dances in school. I have my characters go to parties and there’s one where they dance and it’s a sweet moment.
