It’s just Instacart data, but similar articles consistently show Utah having the biggest sweet tooth among all states. My own theory is it’s one of fewer acceptable vices.

So this post got a lot of people riled up at the Other Place, with commenters in a tizzy over the threat.

“Mobilization” was supposed to start ~11:30am. As of this evening I can’t find mention of any protests on the local newspaper website, Nextdoor, or Facebook pages for McMinnville police, etc.

There is a stronger consumer and/or regulatory preference for natural colors in other parts of the world such as Europe. Color saturation and availability of alternatives are two of the challenges manufacturers face, but they seem to make it work.
