Not quite. The President needs to nominate the US Attorney- and the Senate needs to confirm. The term for “Acting” US attorneys is capped. The issue here is the former interim refused to indict- and the time lapsed for such appointments.

It’s without prejudice to the DOJ- so this isn’t over yet.

The challenge for research sciences and fact based decision making is the complete willingness of leaders to lie, obscure facts and to demonize those that do not. Combine with the presumption of regularity and the inability/refusal of an average person to think critically and here we are.

Undeniable that Robert’s paved the way for the current state of the country. The rest of us still must look in the mirror, too.
