Why would you invest in ed tech when you could use the infinite money glitch of investing in AI?

I think for many teachers that's still in theory, but I know some who it's very true for.

I think the big problem is our collective inability to distinguish "same thing, but now on a screen" from "actually novel thing." Which will continue to be a problem as EdTech companies are pushing AI, VR, etc

Also, it gives us the chance to teach basic digital literacy before they fall victim to the conspiracy-thinking rabbit hole.

Not that we do that well, but I can’t imagine doing it at all with a typewriter.

They open up opportunity:

Opportunity to disengage in different ways

But the test scores need to go up… How else will you know she’s ready to take the tests in middle school?
