It's the responsibility of a candidate to convince voters that their wishes will be carried out. Harris failed to do that, how mad that makes you is immaterial, it's her failure.

100%. Though they're similar technology mostly with a scale difference, the gulf between specialized models and LLMs is vast. I hate how successful the branding exercise of calling it all "AI" has been.

Small correction, the models being used in medicine development are not LLMs, but more old school specialized machine learning models trained on very specific tasks. They are put under the "AI" umbrella to launder the reputation of LLMs

They were able to avoid pops and reassessment of the crypto and NFT bubbles, by transferring the speculative energy from one GPU-powered scam to another, but they're all out of runway now. The scam can't be offloaded to a new target anymore because of its massive size.

I think much worse. Because it's not just the bubble that will pop, it'll involve re-assessing the infinite growth capacity of tech companies, which will suddenly make it clear to everyone that the US economy has been stagnant basically since 2008 apart from tech valuation.

we don't fully understand literally anything. But we don't use that kind of language colloquially because it's not helpful - we understand the important fundamentals of bicycle physics that make bikes stay upright, to say that we don't understand how it works is misleading.
