That's literally it.

That and dating apps being terrible on good days.

It's almost like he's been around a Palantir so long that it's driven him mad...

He's so erratic & half-thought. Can barely finish a sentence. As if he's, "abandoned reason for madness"

Man if only there were literature we could referer him to that would expound on the dangers of a Palantir...

It's like Tolkien had weird racial stereotypes in his head and then those seeped into his work and then those attracted and validated a group of people who also believe those things, emboldening them.

I saw the OG in 3D and it satisfied a middle school me that liked aliens & was low-key protesting hurt locker for "trying to steal the Oscar."

A grown adult me hasn't found a reason to anticipate sequels

It feels like the cilantro of movies. Some people just don't and others can't get enough

Can I ask why?

You don't need a reason to consume art of any sort, but I didn't think the 1st one warranted the effort to follow up with it.

Is it just a personal preference like a comfort food? Or is there some intagible "IT" factor?

Journey of a thousand miles type deal.

I think push back where you can how you can and to who you can.

Public opinion is shaped person by person in your personal life imo

Maybe it needs more a consumer push?

Like the bandwagoning around non-AI projects make AI involvement enough of a financial risk that they can't take the smoke?

But that requires the general public to bring that heat and make that smoke. So people like us in forums like this start here today?

I think that's kinda the point.

I know it's not always this simple with how risky it is to have art jobs, but if no one tolerates it then it will be dropped for it costing them time and/or money.

So the industries making it standard need people to use it to meet those standards.

If they refused?

Being too lazy to find which chapter in Genesis it even alludes to this and then include it and your specific translation (NIV, KJV, NASV, etc) in the bibliography.

It's like if someone made a great MMO that generated the necessary computational power by kicking puppies & converting their pain cries into energy.

Is there a version of the world where the game being powered is fun? Sure. But tbis version kicks puppies. It needs to be replaced first

But they are the same technology.

There probably is a beneficial use case, but it's the same machine that is, by Sam Altman's own admission, unable to operate if it had to comply with copyright law.

The features it offers those industry pros? Based on the data from IP theft

This is such a cool thing to say.

"It should have gotten SOME MARKS"

Okay sure. They get 1/25.

Does it pass muster now?
Is the Bible a substitute for empirical data and research now?
Should they be allowed to effortlessly slide through a graduate program by sueing their way up?

The answer's still "No."

Funny how that works

I think the main issue is that where AI already is moving at rapid speed is:
Sora 2 - Fake videos of real history
Midjourney - Stolen art violating copyright
ChatGPT - convincing teens not to tell their parents about suicidal ideation

If there is a "good version," we already missed the exit ramp...
