Made it to Sale yesterday for the last weekend of Turner & Australia. Amazing collection of Australian landscape art inspired by Turner, and a few originals in there too! And I’m teaching Turner this week 😎

Today I found out that the GDR used to archive the scents of people they were surveilling?? @willtullett.bsky.social

From the other place, I tried asking one of those awful AI historical figure apps about Poe a couple of years ago. All nonsense.
Spent my lunch interrogating AI Poe who claimed 'The Gold Bug' isn't racist and 'Tamerlane' is a respectful poem about Native Americans. He also supports BLM.

The trial has heard the deadly meal came in the form of a beef wellington - a pastry filled with meat and mushrooms. "Why did you choose that dish?" asked Mr Mandy, Ms Patterson's barrister. She said her in-laws Don and Gail Patterson had come for lunch on 24 June and "really liked" the shepherd's pie she served, but it "didn't seem special enough" for the upcoming meal. Instead, she chose beef wellington, something her mum would make "on really special occasions when I was a kid". "I thought I'd give it a go" she told the jury. She says she used a best-selling RecipeTin Eats book - from popular Australian chef Nagi Maehashi - as the basis for the recipe.

The issue relates to the communication system used between train drivers and signallers, it says. "Trains across the network are having to start their journeys later because of this fault and some may also be subject to cancellations or alterations," it says.
