Recovering photography curator, green fingered dog person, can’t help thinking along and probing where the ice gets thin. Because we are all just skating on the surface.

If I don’t follow you, you might be on one of my lists, where I still 🔭 you.
It was so remarkable in terms of composition, observation skills, and the courage to stay close to what their eyes told them, that I thought this kid showed clear promise to become an independent thinker. I hope they receive due encouragement!

The letters EZIK on top of the building have a distinct design to them. EZIK could be Turkish slang, a misspelling voor ZIEK (there’s a hospital nearby) or simply a fantasy company logo.
On the right, a person on a ladder seems to be washing windows (always fascinating to children).

The drawing has interesting details - no doubt connected to a narrative in his mind - such as what seems to be a mihrab from which a prayer is held. The figure in red is surrounded by rays, imparting a sense of energy. The scene is set at night, judging by the lit windows.

In parallel, I’ve noticed how in US movies and TV series houses are subjected to extreme violence, often repeatedly through several seasons. You wouldn’t see that in e.g. British productions, which often serve as covert ads for stately real estate.

Has anyone ever written about either of phenomena?

WRT bitterballen: the city hall served us vegan bitterballen last month. They tasted like cardboard pulp, no one was eating them. One of the civil servants said without blinking: that’s how we recycle our waste paper nowadays.

Exactly, cashews are not the only fruit … I do check the content lists carefully, also making sure the cheeses aren’t classifiable as “high processed food”, which is another cliff to avoid on the high seas of eating right.

My issue with many vegan cheeses - that taste amazing - is that they are cashew-based, and cashew production has its own set of problems. See e.g. this article : www.info.equalexchange.coop/articles/the...
