It does seem like there needs to be some standard way to make this distinction. The use by Kroonen et al of “Sub-Indo-European” in the recent edited volume on substrates seems workable

Have any of the analyses in this paper been re-examined with the addition of the data from Ghalichi et al? For instance, whether their Steppe Eneolithic, western outlier, and Late Eneolithic samples fall into BP vs PV group, or whether the modelling is affected by replacing Aknashen with Arukhlo?

Mallory & Adams (1997) claim the wild goat was widespread following the Pleistocene, but the claims for widespread domestic goats are restricted to the Neolithic and onwards

“Emergence and intensification of dairying in the Caucasus and Eurasian steppes” (Scott et al 2022) does seem to show the establishment of goat pastoralism as a post-Eneolithic development in the steppe, coming from the Caucasus
