Like I said, absolutely can and will get behind this reasoning. It fits his character perfectly and makes sense.

I genuinely just wish they showed us more clearly that he is already unable to escape just being in the Egg and didn't rely on you watching Helluva to know the lore.

- Because in some way it is FORCING you to watch a show you might otherwise not be interested in just to get the complete lore for the show you DO like.

The fix is really easy too (hindsight is 20/20). Have Lucifer try to teleport out of the Egg and be unable to before being restrained further.

- about this within the Fandom. But we do because we were not clearly shown the rules of the universe in this regard.
The fact that pieces of the puzzle are hidden in a DIFFERENT show (same universe or not isn't revelant in the point I'm making) just makes this worse in some way. -

See, I love Lucifer. He's my favorite character in Hazbin.
I can and will absolutely get behind this way of thinking.
But it's not JUST Lucifer behaving this way, it's also Heaven.

That's what I mean with the information being presented unclear. I wish we didn't even have the opportunity to argue-

True but that only happened *after* Lucifer was already captured.
Vox didnt immediately use Lucifers power after trapping him. He didn’t even restrain him the second Lucifer got in the egg.

I do agree that once Vox started draining Lucifer's power he wouldnt have been able to free himself though.

On one hand we are told angelic steel is dangerous to angels. On the other hand Lucifer is presented to be above this rule.

I LOVE Hazbin. I've loved this show since Viv did art streams about the show she one day wanted to make.
I also wish vital information like this was presented more clearly.

- They do not think thay can do anything against Lucifer despite this.

Lucifer himself has witnessed Adam die to angelic steel. Lucifer is aware of angelic steel being in Hell. He himself tells Vox that Vox can do nothing to kill him. (KNOWING he can not use his own power against Vox.)

They DID say that, very true.
The problem is that they send mixed messages.
Angels can be killed with angelic weapons, Heaven and Hell know this now.
Everyone in Heaven is still terrified of Lucifer and nobody dares say his name. They KNOW angels can be killed with angelic steel. -

- to make their point.
I do hope they won't make this mistake more because if it happens a lot it'll make the story suffer in a way it doesn't need to.

(Not criticism, just wanted to explain the problem most people I've seen have with this particular lore reveal)

- to do "homework" by watching both shows. There are plenty fans that just won't like Helluva since it's a different genre.
If you watch both shows you *do* get this moment, but Hazbin *needs* to establish these world building facts too and can not rely on "well we showed it in the sister-show" -

- with it. One slightly suprised look is a wonderul *hint* that Lucifer is also affected by it but we are also shown that he is far above an Archangel in terms of abilities so a look alone isn't enough, sadly.
I love both shows with all my heart! But you can't expect the audience -

The problem isn't that angelic steel weakens Lucifer, not really.
The problem is that *Hazbin* doesn't establish that clearly. Helluva spells it out for you how dangerous angelic steel is for royal demons on multiple occasions, Hazbin only shows us that Sinners, Archangels and below can be killed -
