Happy birthday, Starman. 10 years since you made the cosmic trip back up into the sky. Been a little weird down here since then. They threw a huge ball in your honor last Saturday and it was wild and fun and true to form. Anyways. Love and miss you. XOXO

New fridge installed. I'll miss the water dispenser, but not as much as I've missed having a non-leaking, fully functional appliance for the last 5 years.

Last night, I danced it out like Mon Mothma with nothing to prove while attending Bowie Ball at the Metro. Today, my middle-aged body must pay the price in full but the joke's on it, for I have more bath salts in my cupboard than a mermaid on holiday.

Mom and Dad didn't just make the holidays bearable. They made it merry and bright. It's not the same without them. But there's still warmth to be felt in times of cold. There is still light to be found in darkness, and there is still love. I'm very grateful for that.

It took every ounce of fortitude to be outside for 11 consecutive hours today. I'm so tired. Doing it all again tomorrow.

It really doesn't matter if I leave the house early to catch an "earlier" train. Inevitably, the "earlier" train ends up standing on the tracks in the tunnel for so long, I will arrive to Lake Street at approximately a few minutes past the time when I would have taken the usual train.
