LOL - my mom and her friends tobogganed on the top of the Scarborough Bluffs (Toronto) in the 1930s. Yes, yes they did.
They tied the rope around biggest kid and would all bail out before the drop off. The ‘anchor’ kid would stop the sled from being lost forever 😆
