I’m not saying the government isn’t funding AI—to your point the tax cuts will do that. I was specifically addressing the $500 billion case was not gov’t-funded (it seemed you implied that, but may be off the mark) since doing so gives Trump undue power and plays to his hand in this case.

That $500 billion to AI infrastructure is not funds from the government. It's a deal between Oracle, Soft Bank and Open AI, all private companies. Drumpf used the office of the president to announce a private business deal to make it look like he had something to do with it, which is also gross.
