I took a look at the byline of the supposed author.

They had around 25 articles just that day, each with something like 2,000 words.

I went to their social account. 15 followers.

There's a moment of interest implosion when you realize it's just a machine turning over.

Interesting to see apex make a simplified movement mode to help address that.

Though they might also approach it by making the peak movement tech a little more accessible, and less hidden behind esoteric inputs. Flatten the playing field a little without removing the joy of movement.

Which is to say, something that makes amazing high skill frag clips on a stream isn't necessarily going to be something the everyday player can hope to enjoy. And pushing too hard in that direction can cause alienation and a pro-centric-death-spiral.

Sometimes I rail on games for having nothing to say, but this kind of thing is exactly the mechanism in which games can say things.

The means to say something is not necessarily restricted to world building, characters, story, gp.

It can be how the game manipulates which audience we play with.

Oh God. What if this further pushes people into their bubbles?

What if fearful players only play other fearful players and are reassured that the world is full of fearful people ready to screw them over?

What if calm people are never vaccinated by antagonism and become coddled?

This is off the back of having mostly positive interactions with other players.

But maybe there's some matchmaking wizardry involved, matching the angry with the angry and the peaceful with the peaceful. Not sure.

Would interesting if complaining that the game is too sweaty becomes a self report.
