Do it now.
The next German general election could get the #noAFD into power. These fascists will definitely tighten the rules as much as they can around German citizenship.
I personally don't hope so, but not preparing for a possible and unfortunately probable worst case scenario is very unwise.

ROI by when?
Investment decisions for projects are based on an ROI achieved in a time period from 6 months to n years. That depends on industry / sector.
As others have mentioned, creative management accounting caveats apply when quantifying benefits.

If I want to communicate with a slightly racist, bigotted, Brexit voting trained LLM (supposedly AI), I just 'talk' to Grok instead.

Or just use Nextcloud instead.

Well, at least Karl Marx lived for a time in England.

I'll get my coat.

but also in case of a nuclear weapons use, our life expectancy might have been shorter than that of soldiers (admittedly depending on soldier role), which had better protective gear and training to use such gear than us.

In the case of a war 'Verteidungsfall' not only all the reservists would have been called up, but me too. To serve at home, civilian protection emergency service and so on.
Knowing the infamous 'double tap' tactics of the Russians used in Ukraine, but at least used since WW2,. ... /2

There is also a strange misconception about conscious objectors in the German system.
I was a 'conscie' and worked as a paramedic, because I didn't want to shoot at my cousins which had to serve in the GDR military at the same and their objections would have meant at least 5 years in prison./1

Have been in the Enterprise open source space for decades. If you need more information, don't hesitate to ask.

For my private use I am using a webhoster who provides Nextcloud instances, in my case self managed, but they also offer to manage it for you.
If one uses it for business purposes say a legal practice for instance and you do have IT staff one can manage NXTC in house, otherwise go with Nextcloud.
November 24, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Nextcloud should be able to cover it. Depending on private or business use as well as IT know how, one can self host it, get an EU hosting provider to host it, self managed or managed by the hosting provider and lastly Nextcloud themselves offering a managed instance.

Yes, depending on you use case I might be able to give you some pointers.

Yes
Is the short answer. Revolving doors be it at ministerial level or lower down in the pecking order in the NHS. And the MP is right, the rip off by MSFT and others is standard play. NHS mail anyone?

Since when is a stochastic parrot capable to explain anything?

LLMs (Large Language Models) [ChatGPT et al] are useless and dangerous.

Specific models trained with specific data to diagnose something specific like breast cancer in X-Rays work.
These are NOT LLMs.

It might, but we left even with dual citizenship in 2019. Why? Because the Home Secretary can revoke the UK citizenship on file because of 'terrorism'. One example of 'terrorism' in the context of revoking a visa was an honest error by the accountant in the annual tax return of a visa holder.

The good old chestnut, having business continuity plans which are not in an Excel spreadsheet stored on a shared drive somewhere.
