Koto in the Temple by Susann McDonald. I first received music for this piece in my first year of studying harp, and it’s still so fun to play. It’s not too challenging but include a bunch of extended techniques to make the pedal harp sound like a Japanese koto. ❤️

One more lil peak at this arrangement. This is the section where the key changes from B♭ minor to C♯ minor, and on pedal harp that means a slew of pedal changes (9 in the span of 2 measures!). I did my best here but it’s clear I’m p out of practice lol

Replaced the 3rd octave strings on my pedal harp for the first time in 8 years and I’m just laughing at the way I’ve worn the red color coating off the C string B’) They were v good strings. Sadly the company that made them went under at the start of the pandemic. 😔
