I just saw a video of the shooting on CNN. The ICE officer claimed "self defense"? You're fucking kidding me, right? His life was no where near in danger. It was flat out murder. When are these thugs going to be held accountable for their actions. They're not law enforcement. They're fucking thugs!

Tuesday is "maintenance day" for my neighborhood. That means that the plow went through and left me a "present" at the end of my driveway. That present took me my entire lunch HOUR to clear. Chopping down the compressed pile, pushing it closer to the berm, and tossing it on top of the existing pile.

Since I don't work today (or tomorrow) and have no plans to do anything, I decided to stay in bed this morning for as long as I frickin' felt like it. I finally pulled my ass out of bed about 11:30am. Then I had to go outside & shovel the snow that fell overnight or this morning. 😩

It took me longer to clear the "present" that the West Fargo city plow left me than it did to clear my driveway. Probably close to 30 minutes. I've been back inside for about 25 minutes, and my heart rate still isn't back to normal.
I'm just glad I work from home so I don't have to drive anywhere.

I don't know why I'm bothering to keep a path clear [from snow] for UPS. They never leave pkgs on my porch like my delivery notes say. They always leave them in my driveway where anyone who walks by can steal them. 😩 Even USPS brings packages to my door if they don't fit in the parcel locker. 🤨

I was reminded this morning why I go grocery shopping before 8:30am. I got a late start this morning & didn't get to the store until 8:45am. The store is having a holiday event today, and apparently everyone wanted to be there early. Too damn many people, but I made it out w/o committing murder. 🤪

I finally caved & turned on the heat in my living room. It's down to between 65° to 66° thanks to the south wind & no sunshine. Even with a sweater on, it's chilly.
I haven't turned it on yet on my 2nd level (bedrooms & bathroom) or my basement (home office), but I probably will tonight.

I made an omelette in the air fryer for breakfast. I heated up chicken noodle soup in the microwave for lunch. So why do I keep smelling toast? Not burnt toast. Just toasted bread.

My internet was down from around 6am to around 11:30am today because Midco was doing "an essential network upgrade to enhance [my] connectivity". 🤔 Why are my download speeds now slower than they were before the "upgrade"? I power cycled my modem to make sure that wasn't the problem (it wasn't).
