I was born and raised in the city of Kaduna where I lived until I moved to Canada at the age of 35 yers old in 2007. So I may have something to say about this subject matter. It’s more complex than the way the US president and his lieutenants are choosing to present it to the world.

As a Nigerian-born Canadian with family (Christians and Muslim) in the north-central state of Kaduna, this really hits close to home. I was raised within a Christian tradition, attended seminary where I graduated with a BA in Theology. I stand with the Nigerian government’s statement.
