And although Ragatha has tried to warn Pomni about Jax, Pomni may not view her as reliable considering Ragatha has (unintentionally) infantilized Pomni before. It's not until Pomni and Jax have that fight that she starts to understand how toxic he is.

Jax being a bully is obvious to us, the AUDIENCE, but it makes sense as to why it's not to Pomni. Plus, we've yet to see anyone confide in her the effect Jax has on them. Sure, she's befriended Gangle and Zooble but it's not like they've recounted all the times Jax was horrible to them.

This isn't to say she's completely oblivious to how Jax is, but it does start to make sense why his bullying of others wasn't an immediate turn off for a potential friendship. And considering she's the newest member, she isn't familiar with the dynamics going on either.
